📋 2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the app:

• Account information: name, email address, and optionally a phone number when you register.
• Store information: store name, category, country, and currency preferences.
• Business data: products, prices, inventory levels, sales records, expenses, and customer records you create inside the app.
• Customer data: names, phone numbers, and email addresses of customers you add to your store. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers.
• Staff data: email addresses of staff members you invite (cashiers, managers).
• Photos: images you upload for products or expense receipts, stored in Firebase Storage.
• Device and usage data: anonymous usage analytics collected via Firebase Analytics, linked to a device identifier only, not to your personal identity.

🎯 3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Tajer app and its features.
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• To sync your store data across devices in real time.
• To deliver transactional notifications (OTP codes, staff invitations).
• To send in-app announcements from the Tajer administration team.
• To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

🔗 4. Third-Party Services

Tajer is built on Google Firebase. Your data is processed by the following Google services under Google's terms and privacy policy:

• Firebase Authentication — secure account login
• Cloud Firestore — structured data storage
• Firebase Storage — image and file storage
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications
• Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
• Cloud Functions — server-side processing (e.g., OTP email delivery)

These services act as data processors on our behalf. No other third parties receive your personal data.

🌍 5. Data Storage and Transfers

Your data is stored in Google Cloud data centres located in Europe (eu-west1) and United States (us-central1). If you are located outside these regions, your data may be transferred internationally. Google applies Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards to international transfers.

🔒 6. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures:

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+.
• All data at rest is encrypted by Firebase (AES-256).
• Access to store data is enforced by Firebase Security Rules — only you and the staff you invite can access your store's data.
• Admin access to all stores is restricted to authenticated Tajer administrators.
• Passwords are never stored — authentication is delegated to Firebase Authentication.

⏱ 7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and store data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., financial records).

Anonymous crash logs and analytics events are retained for up to 90 days by Firebase.

👶 8. Children's Privacy

Tajer is a business tool intended for adults operating commercial stores. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@tajer.app and we will delete the account promptly.

⚖️ 9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability — export your data in a structured format.

🔄 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users via an in-app notification. Continued use of Tajer after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
